The food was generally good, but the pompano was a major letdown. We waited around 40–50 minutes for it, and no one informed us beforehand that it would take that long to prepare. A simple explanation from the staff would have helped manage expectations. What made it worse was that when the fish finally arrived, it appeared undercooked and was still a bit bloody/raw inside. It honestly seemed like it may have been frozen and not cooked properly. The most frustrating part was that my 90yrold grandmother had to wait nearly an hour without food. She was extremely hungry by the time the dish arrived, only for it to be inedible. Despite the long delay and the issue with the food, no compensation was made to make things right just an apology. Anyways hopefully they will be better Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₱500–1,000 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

SOOO UNDERRATED! We went on Labor Day at 4pm and ordered spring rolls, steak bahn mi, and pink salt coffee. MY FAVE: Steak bahn mi. The bread was perfectly toasted. It has a nice crunchy exterior. And the steak was delicious and tender. Their coffee is surprisingly good! Cafe-level good, rivals the neighboring cafes. Price per person: ₱500–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Meri's Choice located in the food avenue more commonly known as Aguirre Ave in BF is a humble Thai-Vietnamese Fusion Restaurant. We stumbled across the restaurant because it was about to rain and we wanted vietnamese spring rolls. For all we know we accidentally ate at probably one of the best hidden gems of BF Aguirre. As for the restaurant it has that humble but trendy looking restaurant vibes that is aesthetically pleasing and chill to vibe with. The service was particularly exceptional from the cook to the waiters. The waiters had thorough knowledge of the menu and the cook did his best to prepare the dishes in a timely manner because we ordered a quite handful of food. Although, it was a handful the serving time remained average a testament to a well prepared kitchen and team. As for the food. You get your money's worth not only because of the generous portion sizes but especially because of the taste. The Vietnamese Spring Rolls here are rolled with a certain passion. Because it was as if premade but everything was orderly and uniformly prepared. The taste is great a perfect match to rainy weather like today. It tasted really great that we had to order 2. The Crab Cakes are scrumptious and thick. It was savory but not that salty it brings that protein craving to satisfaction. The Pandan Chicken was smoked and I believe I ate quite a few leaves myself because it was so crispy. The Chicken is a good pair to our rice savory and yet tender on the bite. Although, some might find the chicken portions to be on the smaller scale compared with the rest of the menu. Chef Special Pad Thai is the reason why we need to come back it was so good that we also ordered 2. Perfect mix of salty sweet peanuts and shrimp. It as if I have been transported back to Bangkok Thailand because of the taste. The seafood Pineapple Fried Rice in my opinion the balancing dish to the overall savory and tasteful dishes we ordered. Balance of Vegetables and seafood with chunks of Pineapple topped with Parsley is a must try here at Meri's Choice. I'd order this on a heartbeat. The Vietnamese fride Chicken is the most umami of all the dishes we ordered because it has that crispy skin and flavorful and tasty tender chicken. Everything every bite is a delight. Lastly, The Mango Sticky Rice I was so excited and had super high expectations of this dessert because we ate a lot of this dish in our several Thai visits. It was an okay dish for me. I believe that our Philippine mangoes sweetness will bring home the dish but unfortunately it was like in Thailand the mango was a bit bland which really felt unexciting. I'll give this dish an okay. Overall, the servings are generous, the dining area is chill, the crew was amazing and most of all the dining experience is a blast. Truly is a hidden gem, you wouldn't know it 'til you try it.
