Came all the way from Colorado Springs this has been my go to Ethopian food place for a few years now. We spend well over $200 each time because we drive so far. We came here yesterday the hours said 4 pm open time we waited like 15 mins for the doors to be open. There was not a staff person in sight, no notification on the door, no food cooking, the place was pitch black dark inside, phones off etc. This is very!!!! unprofessional. Understand you have people who enjoy your food, and rely on the times set on Google that’s a blessing. Don’t take it for granted We drove way too far for this mess. Their google information etc. needs to be changed and updated ASAP.

Honestly, I've been amazed all three times I've come here. Injera, the traditional Ethiopian bread the stews (wats) are eaten with, is very difficult to make. It's not baked, it's cooked in a pan and very, very difficult to make even and uniform. Mesob's injera is actually flawless, perfectly soft and springy and slightly sour and compliments their variety of rather affordable options. And everything I've tried has been both consistently well made and delicious, in a way that you can tell the chef has both experience and talent. Also the waitress is really friendly! She is happy to bring you some extra injera or share her expertise on how to get the rest of your generous portion of stew into a cardboard box (surprisingly difficult, the trick is to slide it on top of the injera off the plate instead of trying to use utensils.) Honestly Mesob is a true gem of Denver, AND it's one of the rare places open late. Give it a try.
