If you are reading this review and considering dining here. Before I go on, make the reservation, it’s worth it. Mexican food is one of my favorites and I hardly pass up an opportunity to try the cuisine whenever I get a chance. There are some bigger name venues in more trendy locations within Cape Town, and having tried a few of them I can say that Mexicola is delivering the best flavors across all the dishes. Some exceptional, some just good, but nothing here is below average. Every dish will surprise you. Pictures do not do the plates justice. Have a look at my bill to see how many dishes I sampled. Prices are quite low for the food standard too. You could easily pay double this in Cape Town. Note they serve Se Busca mezcal here at a reasonable price, and gladly mixed mezcal margaritas for me. Never a bad time at Mexicola Locale. Food, margarita jugs and service are always fantastic. Recently revamped wine list is a great addition.
