Currently, the Milestone is the most eclectic, and historically the oldest, still-open, music venue in charlotte. The building was built in 1902, and served as the local General store. The Milestone Club opened in 1969, when Bill Flowers half heartedly began giving away warm beer, and with a flair for crusty, Mr. Flowers eventually bought a fridge a decade later, and as they say, Everything else is history. The staff is always nice and unbiased, and the beer is always cheap and thankfully, now always cold. This is the last of independent music venue left in Charlotte, so let's patronize it for another 50 years!
