I have to say that Mint Leaf is my favorite Indian restaurant in Miami. The taste of the food took me back to any restaurant I tried in Delhi , Udaipur , Araungabad or any city that I visited in India. It is really authentic and well prepared , I love their chicken korma ( they call it butter chicken in India ) , their lamp chops are really to die for and their coconut naam ( bread) is really delicious.

Went for lunch at Mint Leaf Indian Brasserie on Monday afternoon. I ordered the Chicken Lunch Special with Chicken Tikka Masala. Quality The best part of visiting Mint Leaf during lunch is the assortment of different items that come with the lunch specials. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala Chicken Lunch Special, which obviously comes with a small container of Chicken Tikka Masala, but it also comes with Lentils, Steamed Rice, Raita, Naan, and dessert, which on this day was an warm almond rice pudding. The assortment of items is great because it provides an opportunity to sample a bunch of dishes, but I did wish more emphasis was placed on the main dish ordered. There was just as much of the other items as there was of the item I truly wanted. In terms of taste the Chicken Tikka Masala was not bad, but I could have used more heat. The Lentils were actually very good, I usually do not enjoy lentils, but this version was quite tasty. I only used a little Raiti as I am not big on yogurt, but it was fine. The Naan was a bit overdone as I like it more soft and pillowy. And the dessert, the warm almond rice pudding dish, was excellent and probably the best item on the platter. Quantity The Lunch Special platter itself is massive and if you somehow manage to finish everything you will leave more than satisfied. However, my issue lies more on the fact that I think the focus should be more on the dish ordered and therefore more Chicken Tikka Masala should have been provided in comparison to all the other side items. Value The lunch special costs about $15, which is a very good deal consider the large amount of food that comes out. I would say that after looking at the menu, expect to spend a significant amount more during dinner.   Ambiance Mint Leaf is located in Coral Gables just a short jump from Miracle Mile. The restaurant has a small outdoor patio, but the majority of seating is inside. At the very back of the restaurant they have a bar set up as well as place to grab carry-out items. The space is arranged with basically two long rows of tables that form along the two walls. They have some Asian art on the walls and they have two oddly placed televisions high on ceiling at each end of the restaurant. As is usually the case at Indian spots, they were playing Bollywood movies, but it was inconvenient to try and look up at where the televisions were hanging. In the background they had a mix of Bollywood songs with the occasional American pop song thrown in. I do feel like some additional effort could turn the restaurant into a more intimate and upscale setting. Crowd It was a holiday so it is tough to say if the small lunch crowd was a result of many nearby businesses being closed or the standard. I would think with the lunch specials it could draw in a good amount of people that work on the Mile. Service When I walked into the restaurant all of the staff was back in the kitchen. It was at least five minutes before anyone came up front and that was just to check on the current customers. I feel like it is bad business not to have someone ready to greet customers that walk in the door. Adding a bell or alarm beep seems like a necessity. Another issue was that I had to request the lunch menu, which the waiter was unsure about since it was a holiday. The main menu says the lunch menu is seven days a week, so I don't understand why a holiday would impact it, but after asking in the back he brought me the menu. Two missteps at the start of my meal definitely hurt my overall opinion of the restaurant. Parking There is a good amount of street parking in the area, but just expect it to be more difficult with the spaces removed from Miracle Mile. With the holiday it was pretty deserted, but on a normal day it may be more of a fight. Extra Mint Leaf is a decent Indian spot with a pretty solid lunch special. I do wish the emphasis was placed more on the main dish item, but in all honestly some of the other items were actually much better. The service was also a bit spotty, but not so much so to deter a visit. It is not a place I would necessarily want to pay the dinner prices for, but it can stand up with other Indian spots with its lunch deals.
