West Seattle is full of great restaurants but honestly, this one’s my absolute favorite! The atmosphere is awesome amidst such a vibrantly colorful and uniquely decorated interior. The staff is super friendly and easy going, and the service they provide is truly top notch. Most importantly, the food is face meltingly incredible! Seriously everything I’ve ever ordered has been wonderful! There are many outstanding vegetarian options to choose from which is always much appreciated, and it’s very close to Alki Beach making this the perfect place to grab some great food before or after a day at the beach, or while walking around West Seattle. I highly recommend Mission Cantina! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We visited Mission Cantina on a Friday evening, 03/27/2026 and it was very busy. The interior design is absolutely beautiful, the entrance especially makes a great first impression and really sets the tone for the space. We ordered a vegetarian burrito, shrimp tacos, and cheese enchiladas. Unfortunately, the service was quite slow. It took a long time for our server to come take our order, and the food also arrived much later than expected. From what we overheard, it seemed like an unusually busy night, which may have contributed to the delays. As for the food, it was just okay. The flavors were pretty mild across most dishes. The queso was quite dry, although it came with a generous portion of chips. The salsa was decent, and the guacamole stood out, it tasted fresh and was definitely one of the highlights. There was also a mix-up with our order, I had ordered a cheese enchilada but received chicken enchiladas instead. While our main server seemed busy, another server named Sasha really stood out. She checked on us frequently, quickly addressed the mistake, and had the incorrect item removed from our bill. She even offered a replacement, which we declined, but her attentiveness and kindness made a big difference in our experience. Overall, it was an average visit. The ambiance is great and there are some highlights, but the slow service and lack of flavor in the food made it just an okay experience. It may have just been an off night due to how busy it was. Thank you for coming in and for taking the time to share this. Fridays can get pretty busy here, but that’s on us to manage, and it sounds like we missed the mark on both timing and execution during your visit. I’m really glad Sasha was able to step in and take care of you. That’s exactly the kind of service we aim for, and I’ll make sure she hears this. On the food side, we take that feedback seriously. Our goal is for everything to come out flavorful and consistent, so hearing that it felt mild or off isn’t what we want. And we should have gotten your order right the first time. We do appreciate you recognizing the space and the parts that worked. If you’re open to it, we’d love another shot at it on a less hectic night.
