What an experience! My boyfriend and i absolutely loved every second of Miya’s class! Miya made us want to travel all the way to Japan to try the sushi there :) We really enjoyed learning about the history of Sushi and the process behind it! Miya, himself was amazing! He made some jokes and answered all the questions we had! After his class we definitely have a new found respect for Sushi. I would highly recommend going to Miya on a Saturday morning and learning about Sushi, the Japanese culture and making some sushi!

Great experience. The Chef is so knowledgeable and friendly. I do feel that people should know that there is a morning and afternoon session, on arrival its about +- 3 hours of sitting and listening to theory training. And then about 45mins of actually making sushi in the afternoon. So its advisable to eat breakfast! Overall was a nice experience. Whats also cool is, you can take your own drinks!

Having been a sushi fan for almost a decade, I decided to take a beginner's course at Miya's Catering. I was humbled by Miya's expert level of sushi-making. He made it look so easy, and captivated us with his stories and wealth of knowledge. I now have a lot more respect for sushi chefs, having learnt first-hand how difficult it is to make good sushi consistently, without transferring too much heat from your hands to the food. What impressed me most was his obsession with cleanliness. He drilled us to keep our workstations hygienically clean, especially when preparing the food. To get to the point, when I need to host a sushi party my first choice will be Miya's Catering.
