Im from small town area, towns of populations under 100 each. This place gave me the feel of small town bar/ restruants that ive been missing since moving to sioux falls. Food was great, steak, kids burger, shrimp, the beef noodle soup that i dont normaly like was pretty darn good. Monarch is a place that i feel our family will become regulars at, especially if we buy a house in renner. Price per person: $10–20

Right from the get-go as we walked in, she gave us attitude since we were a bigger party (for a birthday, which we tried to call in advance to warn them and they didn’t answer). Food took forever and they waited to bring out food so some of it was cold and others were cooked too long. I found a hair in my burger and when I asked for no onion, she didn’t even write it down no onion so it came out with onion. I’ve some stuff was even forgotten. Would’ve gladly left a great tip if service was better. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Was definitely not very good. I ordered my steak Medium well because i thought i would be getting a good cut of meat since I ordered a Filet-it was literally maybe 4oz and jerky. Someone ordered prime-rib and it looked like it had sat in a fridge for a week. It was grey. We also had a sirloin which was ordered medium rare and it was medium but the steak looked decent. Salad bar was small. Overall I expected much better. Waitress was good and funny. We knew her lifestory by the time we left. She didn't do anything when I said my steak was way overdone. No discount or new steak. Price per person: $20–30
