I came for dinner and it was really nice. Service was great and ambiance peaceful and luxurious. Only wish is a better wine by glass menu but it's ok they focus on sake for the traditional experience. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Monya is hands down my favorite Japanese restaurant, and for good reason. It’s a perfect blend of beauty and flavor, delivering an unforgettable dining experience. The dishes are exquisitely crafted, with delicate yet profound flavors that truly touch the soul. The service is impeccable. While the staff’s English may be limited, their kindness and willingness to assist make you feel right at home. The ambiance is simply enchanting, with a small garden featuring a serene bamboo cascade that adds to the tranquil atmosphere. Nestled in the Sengakuji temple area, Monya is a true hidden gem.
