My partner and I stopped by here last night after catching the Oddysey at the neighborhood theater. We had past by it plenty of times before and were so glad we finally had the chance to stop in. The food was absolutely amazing and they have a lot of grink combinations that can really compliment your food choices. I highly recommend the So-maek. It's a simple beer and soju highball style cocktail but is super smooth and refreshing. Also the waitress we had was super sweet, really fun to just talk to and was knowledgeable about the menu to help us find some good options. Even snapped a cute picture of us and their soju girl. Had an amazing experience at Moon Pocha and it easily exceeded expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the evening. I also appreciate how authentic the menu felt—it was largely in Korean, but each item had enough detail to help us understand what we were ordering. The drinks menu was another standout, especially their impressive soju collection with plenty of options to try. The food was absolutely worth it. The fried chicken was hands down my favorite—super crispy, flavorful, and perfectly coated without feeling too heavy. The Lil Fire Chicken was another standout with great spice and flavor, especially paired with the creamy corn. We also tried the japchae, which was well-balanced and fresh, and the noodle dish had a really comforting flavor profile. The spicy stew/soup was the perfect finishing dish and packed with flavor. Overall, great service, amazing drinks, and food that actually lives up to the hype. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for late-night Korean food and drinks in Portland.
