Had our sukiyaki lunch here today. The Japanese beef was very tasty and smooth. Service is very attentive and they cooked for you too. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We didn’t know it was a famous chain when we came in. The beef quality is excellent - look at the marbling. We ordered it two ways - sukiyaki and pan fried. Both were very good. It came as a full course with appetizer , soup along with the main course. Very good! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We are a huge fan and regulars of Moritaya since our first visit to the Kyoto outlet many years ago. This particular outlet is just disappointing. The service is horrible and the way the server cook the meat just ruin the meat. Too much sugar is used and the meat is over cooked. In our previous experience, the server will cook the meat piece by piece until it’s finish. In this outlet, they just cook the first two pieces of meat and after that they just dump everything in the pot and ask us to help ourselves. We were so surprised by the terrible standard. Upon finishing our meal, my husband commented that the service seems different from other outlet. The replied was “yes, because there is no service charge here”. So shocking with the rudeness and it basically means they know that they are delivering terrible service. A good server would have enquire what makes us feel different. I am certain we will not visit again and suggest others to visit their outlet in Marunouchi Building for a much better experience.
