Regarding the cafe, I’ve used it a handful of times, food is lovely, staff are great. In general I use the store more than the cafe I use Morrisons mainly for the salad bar which most shops no longer have! I love the “m savers dessert” yogurts (strawberry / choc flavoured yogurts topped with cream) My kids love the Morrisons toy isle and myself the home isle! Going through a highland cow “phase” and Morrisons has some lovely bits. To date across various stores my customer experience has been good. All but 1 staff member to date have been accommodating and helpful! And to the one lady who was not I’ve no beef! It was an incredibly busy/hot day and she was supposed to be on her lunch break but seemingly no one come to cover her? Whilst Morrisons isn’t where I do my weekly shop (because it’s not local to me) I do recommend it, I would use it more. If I was closer to it. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £50–60 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Not sure Vegetarian options: I mean I just eat egg and chips when eating out so I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful Dietary restrictions: I believe there’s various options but don’t quote me

I had such a wonderful experience at Morrisons and I felt compelled to share just how outstanding the service was. Shopping during the Easter holidays with three kids in tow can be incredibly overwhelming, and I was dreading it but one staff member truly made all the difference her name badge is Melanie. From the moment she approached us, to offer support when I was struggling. Melanie was calm, patient, and genuinely kind. Even with the chaos of children around me, she never once made me feel rushed or stressed. She helped me find the items I needed and offered support at self checkout. Melanie went out of her way to help, offering support with a warm smile and a level of care that you just don’t come across often specially in supermarkets. Her customer service was absolutely exceptional attentive, understanding, and above and beyond what I would expect. My children who are young and has additional needs liked her attention and talking to her. She turned what could have been a stressful shopping trip into a positive and even enjoyable experience and I managed to get my Easter bits. Melanie is a true credit to the Morrisons team. I do love the wholesomeness and the old-school, school dinnersy taste of the meals here. Though not as wallet-friendly as it once was, the Morrisons cafe is popular as ever especially with more elderly patrons who choose to combine their shop and a social of sorts which should always be supported and encouraged. The employees (there are far too few and they work very hard - that is undeniably true) are not the quickest. I suspect there may be too make cooks im a sense but a better reign on the management of the processes and timescales would be amazing. I think management in the fullest sense with appraisals and staff review and targets would not add anything to the diner experience and could possibly lead to the place loosing some of its nostalgic charm. Look, it does exactly what it says on the tin. The fish and chips, and apple crumble and custard are my form favourites. If we could just get the orders in and delivered to tables a tad quicker - it would have been a solid 5/5* from me. Especially when some of the young mums carelessly and selfishly leave their prams, buggies and children to clutter and clog the pathways. People just need to think a little more about others and far far less about themselves. Or their feral children.
