Very disappointing! Both the corned beef and pastrami were badly cooked and were tough and chewy. They didn't reach the right temp to break down the connective tissue in the brisket. Really unacceptable for what is supposed to be their specialty. I would say the pastrami sandwich was comically small except for the price charged, I was not amused. The Reuben was a little closer to normal size but both were very skimpy on the meat. Felt very ripped off. Will not be coming back. Langer's in LA is our favorite deli and we go there frequently, so once in a while, we crave for American deli sandwiches. Morty's was rated as one of the best sandwich restaurants in HK, we were certainly excited to try it and didn't mind the price. The sandwiches are priced comparable to many delis in the States. The quality though, is subpar and not very authentic. We were quite disappointed. Pastrami in the Reuben was chewy and fries tasted like home made air fryer fries. French dip - a bit better than the Reuben, but still tasted like frozen ones from Costco. French dip was NOT served with Au Jus as stated on the menu, but gravy! Two stars for the attentive service. Sorry I really wanted to love it.
