I've been going to Mukafe since they opened up. It is ine of my favourite spots on Manchester. Mukafe an extensive espresso and filter menu. If you're into coffee and you're visiting Manchester, this is one of the many places that you shouldn't miss. Loura has worked hard on the space. She roasts her own coffee, and she sources other roasters as well. Generally, I've enjoyed my coffees here. If I haven't? It is usually my own fault for picking something a bit more weird. On my most recent visit, I had an Ethiopian espresso which was really fruity. As well as a Colombian milk coffee. That was just a classic washed Colombia. It did the job and absolutely no complaints. Maybe I'll try the Ethiopian with milk next time. The space is small, but busy. It is very coffee focused. You can usually eat your own cake if you ask, but I'll always bring Loura something to eat as well. I've recommended this place to a few friends and they had a great time with the pourover. I am sure this cafe this grow soon! Loura does a great job. Price per person: £10–20 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Gorgeous little nano coffee shop. I'm not a coffee expert but my colleague was really impressed, and I really enjoyed my oat milk flat white. Cute, and pretty hidden away, but definitely worth a visit! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Takeaway Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £1–10

Recently visited Mukafe Studio, a relatively new cafe in Manchester tucked away near the National Express coach station. Keep an eye out for the yellow sign on Bloom Street, you just head up the stairs to the first floor. The cafe is cozy, with cute posters and a few tray tables set close together. About half the space is dedicated to the craft, full of grinders, origami drippers and kettles. While there are some power outlets, it is not really a study all day spot. It feels more like a grab and go service. They focus solely on single origin coffee (Panama, Brazil, El Salvador, Ethiopia etc.) and don’t serve pastries, which is absolutely fine when the coffee is good. On the owner's recommendation, I tried the natural process Ethiopia. It was originally roasted for filter, but she experimented with the roast profile to make it work perfectly for espresso. (yes, she also roasts the beans herself!) It was well balanced, fruity and slightly winey, almost like a fermented plum. I would love to buy these beans, hopefully the packaging is finalised and ready for sale by my next visit. The pricing is on the cheaper side and it is one of the few quality spots opening as early as 7:30am (they are closed Sundays). If you are arriving in Manny by coach, this should definitely be your first stop for a proper cup of coffee.
