There was mold on the tofu in the arajiru (miso soup). When I pointed it out, they told me it was caused by fish bones hitting each other during cooking. I grew up in Japan and have had arajiru countless times, and I’ve never seen anything like this before. What bothered me most was not just the food itself, but the fact that instead of apologizing or acknowledging the issue, they gave me an explanation that honestly didn’t make sense. I also ordered nigiri, and the rice was overly sticky and mushy. The way the fish was cut was unusually small and awkward compared to what I’ve normally seen at sushi restaurants. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
