Love this place. great food, oysters are the best in Ocala. they are always big and meaty. not like one place i went they were small and just sickly looking. great wait staff and bartender.
its kind of a dive but that makes it so good.

Over the road truck driver from Southern California and I got laid over here in Ocalla. So we stayed at the hotel in the same parking lot as Murphy's oyster bar, so naturally, we had to come over and check it out. Not disappointed in the food at all, it was really tasty perfectly cooked my medium rare steak was just that medium rare,sitting on a bed of onions that was on a hot plate. The onions were actually cooking as they delivered my meal. You can see that in the picture. If you like fries, you're gonna love these some of the best fries I've had in a long time! The service was excellent our server I forget his name, but every table he was waiting on seem to know him like he was family. And I can see why he was a really cool guy. Very helpful very patient as we ordered our meal. And the ambience of this restaurant it just screamed Florida, lol. the decor was totally relaxed. Definitely a place that I would make a regular stop if I was a local. I look forward to my next layover here in Ocala I know where I'll be eating! If your just visiting the area make it a point to ear here, You won't be disappointed, I guarantee it!!!
