Tried to walk in with my buddies from out of town after the game and was completely denied as a 22 year old who’s ID apparently “didn’t look real” with no sort of verification machine, just from the so called “bounces eyes”. Was in there 3 hours before with no problems. Fine bar I guess but late night bouncer needs a change.

I've been meaning to write this review for a while. I booked Murphy's Rooftop for my 30th birthday party in May. Now I know May weather is always a toss up, but took the risk anyway because I love the Cubs and Murphy's. I've been going to Murphy's to watch games since I moved to the neighborhood in 2015. This place is amazing before and after games too. I honestly couldn't think of a better place to celebrate turning 30, and I wasn't wrong. The day came and it was pouring. Not just a little drizzle, downpour. We got to Murphy's and Freddie told us that the game was delayed until 3. He gave us two options we could go up early or we can go up 20 minutes before the game. Since people were arriving we decided to go up then. Despite the rain and delayed game we had the best time. The food was excellent, the drink selection was perfect for our event, we had a good view of the stadium, the Cubs almost won, and the staff were so accommodating. We were treated like family from start to finish. It was hands down my best birthday ever, and I owe it all to Murphy's for helping me put on such a great party. I 100% recommend this rooftop to anyone who is looking for a private rooftop to host your event and watch some baseball. You won't be disappointed.
