I love Nekomata. I have been here once a week (sometimes twice) since end of October and i love it. The people here are very nice and if you come often enough even shy cats will let you pet them. I love the food (especially the onigiri) they have different styles and variations of drinks (Anyone will find something that they like) The first drink is in the price included. It's very clean and you can wash your hands anytime. The bathroom is very clean as well and very cute decorated. If you come without a reservation the staff will tell you if they have space or not (i recommend to always make a reservation, just to be sure) Right now they have nine cats and some of them are very cuddly. You also have a big variety of books and mangas. The music in the Café is very calming (they play ghibli songs sometimes) I think nekomata is a must for every Japan, Manga or Cat lover. I love it here and i will come back for sure!

This was such a fun experience for my short stay in Bordeaux. The staff is lovely, and having tea with cats while on vacation is an unexpected but memorable activity. I love cats and have two of my own at home, but I have a minor allergy to their dander. However, the courtyard at Nekomata is so well-ventilated that I never had any symptoms while there, even when one of the cats curled up on my lap. I highly recommend!

It's a very nice, calm location and the cats seem to love it there. They have places to hide away from people, and the staff take very good care of them. The courtyard is a wonderful, cool refuge on a hot day.
