Overall good bagels and good menu. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Maybe because I'm a NYer I still prefer NY style bagels. The Montreal style are a little smaller and more dense. Would definitely come back if I were in the area but I personally prefer NY style. Just a preference. Still a good place for a bagel fix.

Super overpriced. First time I was there I bought a bagel with chèvre and arugula and "salad". The salad was basically arugula. The bagel had a jammy chutney that was really sweet and it overpowered other flavours. This time I thought I'd just get to go. Bought a half dozen everything bagels and a cream cheese. $25. The bagels are $15 door half a dozen so a bagel with nothing on it is $2.50. Cream cheese around eight dollars. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. They aren't that special.

I was in the old neighborhood for an appointment, and I noticed that this new location of NU Bügel, which had been in the works for months, had finally opened, so I figured I'd give one of their sandwiches a shot. I decided to go with the Smoked Trout Sandwich ("With baby arugula, sweet horseradish jelly, and pommery mustard. Served with greens and our house dressing"), which was ready just a few minutes after I placed my order. It's a really, really good sandwich. I went with just a plain bagel, and it was soft and fresh but sturdy enough to stand up to the various ingredients. The smoked trout is indeed very smoky and just so delicious, while the sweet horseradish jelly and mustard both complement it beautifully. (I will say that I dropped half my sandwich and I wanted to cry.) The accompanying salad is nothing special, though. The house dressing was so sparingly applied that I basically felt like I was eating plain mixed greens. But that sandwich... The total cost was $18, which seems a little exorbitant, but I honestly can't remember when I've eaten a tastier 'wich.
