We were exceptionally excited about dining at Nadair, despite a friend's mixed review. We also had a mixed experience. Service as fantastic, as was the amuse bouche, first course and tiny final dessert. The fermented cornbread was the best cornbread I've ever had anywhere. Decor was inventive but seemed to lack a warmth - the restaurant is in an odd, warehouse-like space with restrooms down a separate hallway, so that contributes to my impression. My main course was disappointed. (You have a choice of four options for each course, so I'll admit this was somewhat my fault.) I ordered the fish, which featured Mexican seasoning and was at odds with the rest of my meal. My dessert was average, unimpressive and included a strange flavor I couldn't identify. Great selection of Scotch but we were charged $3 for a large cube of ice. Yes, a $3 cube of frozen water. My husband was asked if he wanted it neat or on the rocks and he said on the rocks and was not told that this charge would be tacked on to our bill. This is a fine dining establishment with a tasting menu and a famous chef, so it should be above this petty level of nickel and diming, especially with no warning. The restaurant was also "unable" to process my American Express gift card for a portion of our total. Disappointing. Price per person: $100+ Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We had a great meal last night for our son‘s graduation dinner. The service and the presentation is impeccable. The entry and the welcoming reception was very pleasant. Parking is not an issue at this place which is a huge Plus point for me. The cocktails were creative and very good. The whiskey bass cocktails were especially flavorful. The cheese and the mushroom appetizers were excellent. For the main dishes, I would definitely get the trout or the pork. The steak was average. The chocolate cake was excellent. Definitely a restaurant I would go back to. Jeff our server was super! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
