We recently had Namak Handi cater our corporate event, and the food was simply spectacular! The biryani and karahi were incredibly flavorful, capturing the authentic taste of the Pakistani cuisine. Every dish was prepared to perfection, delivery was prompt and on time. Highly recommend Namak Handi for anyone looking for a genuine and mouthwatering authentic Pakistani cuisine. Had mutton and chicken biryani at this place. This is a Pakistani restaurant thus the biryani is not like the regular Hyderabadi biryani. 3 star is also for not much meat as compared to other restaurants. It had tamarind in the biryani and thus not at all a Hyderabadi biryani. The haleem was just average but slightly better than biryani. Thus people used to that kind of flavor might like it more but Indians might not really enjoy it so much. The staff was very good and pleasant. When taking orders on call or at restaurant they need to clearly mention what kind of biryani it is. We asked them multiple times is it Hyderabadi dum biryani and they confirmed it is. We had been at Whitby location for brunch on Sunday April 14. The food was good and ambiance was also good. BUT, be cautious, if you do not check the bill carefully they will overcharge you..!!! they did to us. We were a group of 15 people, had made the reservation and we trusted and paid the bill without checking. Subsequently I realized the bill seemed to be on higher side, so I checked it. They charged Rates more than their published Rates..!! The bill before Tax and Tip paid was $255, it should have been $210, so overcharged $45 before tax. Secondly, they served one item which was canceled way ahead of time, when told they said since it was made we can have it and they will not charge, they charged $16 for that as well, so total: $61. I called them on 905-556-1636 and 416-716-7886 but NO RESPONSE even after 3 days. Our group has decided not to visit Namak Handi again and let others know of this fact.
