Terrible experience attempting to get takeaway here. We ordered when it was quiet, expecting to wait 5-10 minutes. Soon after we ordered, several tables were occupied with people dining in. After a half hour wait we realised that our order was not being prepared and those who were dining in got preference. When I queried what was going on I was told to ‘relax, you’re on holidays what are you worrying about!’ Both the lady cooking and man serving were very rude and we walked out after realising they had no desire to get our order up and running.

Absolutely recommend – best food of our trip! We visited New Taste three times during our stay and were impressed every single time! On the first day, we had the gyros plate and pita gyros – both were super tasty, the meat was juicy, and the bread was warm and crispy. At the end, they even served us fresh fruit on the house – such a nice gesture. A real highlight was the Giouvetsi, served traditionally in clay pots. The meat was incredibly tender and full of flavor – the best Giouvetsi we had on the island! There are plenty of outdoor seats available, even in the evenings when it gets a bit busier. You can also order takeaway if you prefer. The price-performance ratio is excellent – out of all the places we tried in the area, this was by far the best food. This place is a small restaurant in the heart of Rhodes but it's "Must to try". It's family business so they are spoiling their customers. Lovely lady is preparing her food from the scratch with love and fresh ingredients. She's making an amazing tzatziki and the secret sauce of her own recipe. Believe me, you will go back there just like we did
