We recently booked dinner and shisha at Nefes for a group of 15 people. The food took quite a while to arrive, although to be fair it was fresh when served. Taste wise, it was decent and well presented but not worth the long wait. What really impacted the experience was the manager’s attitude. At one point he was waving hookah accessories around people’s faces, which came across as immature and unprofessional. Since our group mostly comes from professional backgrounds, the behaviour felt more clownish than entertaining and didn’t align with the level of service we expected. On the positive side, the waiting staff were polite and attentive throughout the night. The premium shisha flavours were excellent, and the fresh kunafeh was honestly the highlight of the evening, absolutely delicious. If we do come back, it would probably be for shisha and dessert only. Given the service attitude, pricing, and food wait times, we would likely skip dinner next time. Nefes has the type of Middle Eastern and Turkish atmosphere that other places try to recreate but can’t quite achieve. The hanging kebabs are great for pictures but I would also recommend lahmacun, hunkar begendi, and the ottoman grill. Personally my favourite thing to get at a Middle Eastern restaurant is dolma, so to all the dolma lovers, you should consider it comes as a main meal here. Price per person: $20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Lahmacun, Hunkar Begendi, Ottoman Grill GF, Dolma Platter GF Dietary restrictions: Halal
