This was my go to Chinese spot when I lived in the area. It always hit the spot. Never went wrong with the House special fried rice with boneless spareribs or general tsos. Eggrolls are solid, and the occasional bucket cup of ice tea was nice.

The food is absolutely horrible. It's bland, colorless, and disgusting. The Singapore Mai Fan is white instead of yellow because they simply didn't add the appropriate seasoning to it. Not only did it not look like Singapore Mai Fan, it didn't taste like Singapore Mai Fan. The general Tsaos chicken was a very dull brown rather than a rich red color, and the sauce was like water and didn't stick to the chicken. Furthermore, it didn't taste like much at all, what little flavor did coke through was mostly garlic.

Neptune Cafe was my go-to Chinese take out for over a decade. However.... Back in January of 2015, I made a large order worth $50 and tipped the drive $7. Upon arrival, I checked everything and found that they forgot to include my order of large shrimp lo mien. I called Neptune Cafe back to let them know they forgot one of my orders. At first it was the teenage boy whom I spoke with. After telling him the issue, he went and got my to speak with another lady (probably the same rude front desk lady that others have spoken about) and she refused to admit their mistake and was adamant that their cook placed my order in the bag (basically implying that was a liar). I refused to get off the phone with her and reminded her that I did not get what I paid for. After 5 minutes of going back and forth, she finally said that she would give me credit next time I make an order. I just agreed, but rest assured I will never order from Neptune Cafe ever again. What a disappointment.
