I went in blind on this place as I needed something to eat with my beer at Remnant. They advertised Ethiopian food, basically beef and bread. There is no warning whatsoever anywhere on the front of this place or inside that the food is spicy. Its beyond 5 alarm hot, I can't feel my face and my entire throat burns from eating this. I was unable to taste any flavor over the heat and threw 90% of it away. It still burns nearly 35 min later and ruined my time at Remnant because I can't taste anything and now have a sour stomach. I realize some folks enjoy this (though I cannot for the life of me understand why...) but for the love of all that is holy put a warning up or something! Wonderful service everyine was friendly but the food is a 0/10. $30 wasted and an evening ruined..... :( ***Editing with a reply as the owner has responded below. Thanks for the quick reply, I will definitely try Nibble Kitchen again as the concept of hosting different cuisines seems fun and interesting. I have added a star to my review as the spice/heat situation was not the fault of the business itself. And yes, please let the chef know that not everyone can deal with that level of heat and a warning/heads up is definitely in order so folks can make an informed decison to go elsewhere. Sadly this is a common issue that us "boring" folks who can't deal with spicy food often encounter, and it is not fun to try and guess. That being said, I suppose I could have asked about it before ordering.. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Nibble Kitchen is a small business development incubator that supports Chefs and aspiring business owners from around the world, our teams and menus change daily so we hope you'll try out another business at Nibble Kitchen. On our current schedule we have Peruvian, Guatemalan, and lots of international pop-ups like the one you tried so I'm sure you'll find something to love at Nibble! Ethiopian food is widely known for being spicy and fortunately no one else has reported a similar experience to yours, but we are sorry that you did not enjoy your experience and will make Chef Zufan aware of your comments and see if she would like to adjust the way the menu is written.

Loved the food. Yummy! Only criticism is the $9 spring roll appetizer I ordered — while very tasty was way too thin. For the quantity it should have been priced at around $6 but hey isn’t everything overpriced in Boston? The chicken bowl was just right. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
