Environmental Pollution – Profit at the Expense of Nature I am absolutely appalled by the state of this location. What is advertised on the sign as an idyllic destination (“Welcome to Nikolas”) is, in reality, a site of reckless environmental neglect. It is clear that money is being made here with zero regard for the natural surroundings. The photos I’ve shared document the situation clearly: * **Illegal Dumping in the Rocks:** Tucked away behind and between the rock formations are piles of trash. You can see old beach umbrellas, plastic piping, metal rods, tarps, and construction debris (see photos 1, 5, and 6). * **Hazardous Scrap in the Water:** Right in the swimming area, metal structures and ladders are rusting away, partially submerged. This is not only an eyesore but a significant safety hazard for anyone entering the water (see photos 4 and 9). * **Neglect on the Beach:** The shoreline itself is littered with debris, including metal sheets, glass bottles, and broken tiles (see photo 7). The entire setup looks dilapidated and poorly maintained. It is heartbreaking to see such a beautiful stretch of coastline treated like a junkyard just to turn a quick profit from tourism. If you care about the environment or your own safety, stay away. This place needs a serious cleanup and a reality check regarding its environmental impact. ### Summary of the visual evidence described: * **Contradiction:** The contrast between the "Welcome" sign and the actual decay. * **Hidden Waste:** Documentation of debris hidden in crevices to keep it out of the immediate line of sight of casual visitors. * **Safety Risks:** Clear shots of rusted metal in the water which pose a danger to swimmers.
