I use to love nite owl for years, but I went to try different things this visit. If you go for food don't get the fish sandwhich, or onion rings sadly. Onion rings are not well seasoned, the fish sandwhich was so thin and oil tasting. The lettuce was half good, the other half was shribbled up brown mush. The only thing good on the fish sandwhich was the cheese and decent Tatarsauce. What I'd suggest tho is the cheese burger or bacon cheese burger (their burgers are known for to be amazing everytime ive gone was for the burgers. Just dont get the fish sandwhich *please get better fish and not 2 fish sticks slapped onto a sandwhich...* their shakes are amazing too) if the inside is opened its worth to sit Inside and experience the nostalgic decor inside. This quaint little gem has been around forever. They serve a few handmade/homemade specialties, and that's it! Hamburger ($7), cheese burger, mushroom and Swiss($10), chicken sandwich, fish sandwich, fries ($4), rings ($5), shakes/malts, assorted ice cream. They are CASH ONLY, and I waited outside with numerous people for about 20 min, and it was completely worth it! Everyone from all walks of life are here waiting for their handmade burgers, and once they are out of meat, they close for the day. Avoid all the fast food on Layton Ave. and stop in here for delicious food. Parking: Decent size lot but can be very busy. There is also free street parking on the side street. Wheelchair accessibility: There is one step leading into the breezeway area where you order. If you are not able to access this step, bring someone with you to help with ordering.
