A Florida native born and raised from a generation of 5 and my wife who was born and raise in Maryland til moving to Florida in 87, we have had several blue crab experiences. Well I'm here to tell you this is the real deal. From the paper covered table with a full role of paper towels on the table , wooden crab mallet and more tools for some amatures to get the crab picking job done . The steamed blue crabs in classic old bay were stemmed perfect. We ordered a dozen of the mediums and they were full, not light and all males!. We even had a few in there with some nice fat and yellow mustard.( some of you know what I mean). We also had a crab cake . Again the real deal. All crab not Krab and stuffing, not a devils crab, 100% all crab! You can get it broiled or fried. I like broiled . Some people get it fried then on a sandwich then bitch that it is soggy .. Hmmm wonder why. Besides its way to good to put it on bread. The staff was pleasant with a kind greeting and sat us right away , our waiter promptly introduced himself and offered to bring us a beverage right away. We found ourselves around other locals and Marylanders alike. The place is small but not loud and is clean . A simple fresh menu which they offer other crab delights including King and snow . I'm sure they will have stone in season . They offer a decent selection of beer and wine. If you need something stiffer there a sports bar next door . But the real deal on crab is at Nokomis Crabhouse.
