Bakery Bliss is a cute little bakery, not a whole heap of seating, but that doesn't matter because I came for the pastries. I'll start off with the Plain Beef Pie. What a brilliant experience from start to finish. I normally like tomato sauce with my pies, but after the first two bites I went in raw, no sauce needed. It reminds me of the pies I would eat from the local bakery in Wattle Park during my school days in the early 90's. The pastry is light and crispy, with a melt in your mouth feeling. The mince is lean and well minced, not overly chunky, and the gravy is light and flavourful. Next is the steak and mushroom pie, my goodness, where have you been all my life. The pasty, same as the Plain Beef. The filling is a little thicker and the flavour packs a punch. If I wasn't eating outside in public, I would of lost control and ate my pie like Bruce eating the chocolate cake in the movie Matilda. I went halvies in a pork sausage roll with my partner. Once again, the pastry is just amazing. The filling is light and not overpowering in flavour from extra ingredients. Lastly, the caramel slice. Now I've had my fair share of caramel slices in my decades walking this planet, but let me tell you, not many have left a huge impression on me like this one. Well balanced with flavour and texture, and the best part, it's not leaving me needing a drink to wash away a sweetness overload. What a real bakery should be - literally EVERYTHING looked delicious and amazing. The items we tasted were excellent. Monbulk and surrounding residents are so fortunate to have this permanently in town. No mass produced crap but real baked goodies made with love. Worth every calorie! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Hi Paige, we're unsure if you got the correct bakery, as we weren't open at the time of your review (6am), we open at 7am everyday.
