"The 1927Erection" as it's t-shirts proclaimed back in 1976 when I first stopped here. Still a great pub in a great location. Great food - "best brains on the coast" still a truism (lambs' brains) - and great black beer (both Tooheys Old and Guiness). Staff really excellent. Dog friendly.

We stayed overnight in Urunga at a nearby holiday park and, being a Tuesday night, there weren’t many dinner options around. We came across the Ocean View Hotel and noticed they were serving pizza from a window, so we decided to grab some takeaway to enjoy back at our cabin. Even though they were busy and it was about a 45-minute wait, it was well worth it! We ordered a Hawaiian, a Meat Lovers, and a Garlic Pizza — all three were fantastic. Plenty of toppings, a really nice thin base, and great value for money too. We’re looking forward to stopping in again next time we’re passing through town for the night!
