BBQ Chicken Inasal. Arguably the best bbq chicken I've had in too long.

-----08 Apr, 2015-----
A pleasant surprise. I entered the food court with the intention of consuming either Thai or Malaysian cuisine, until my acquaintance had stopped to look at the menu of this establishment. Upon my initial scan of their menu, I was adamant to order from them as I didn't find it conventional to buy cuisine native to my culture. I was of the mindset that those dishes could be made at home, and therefore save money fiber were to have a Filipino dish. Eventually my hunger got the best of me - I was thinking with my stomach. I ordered chicken inasal with an accompanying halo halo. For a food court dish, I was pleased with the presentation of the dish. The chicken inasal brought back memories of childhood - it made me realise I had forgotten how good the dish was. The java rice was by all means a pleasant accompaniment to the chicken. Their chicken did not taste commercialised at all, I can appreciate and admire that. I wasn't expecting anymore from the dish, but after finishing it I couldn't help but diverge from my initial inclination of expectations. Their halo halo was quite satisfactory - it was by no means anywhere near the composition to that of Chow King's in Philippines, but it would be unreasonable to draw that comparison in the first place (the irony). I ended up ordering a second halo halo to go. All in all, their staff was warm and welcoming, the halo halo leaves little to be desired, and the chicken inasal was an unexpected, but pleasant surprise.

I like the halo2 but it was not really the philippine authentic halo2. But it is still nice and delicious.

Beautiful Food. I was on my lunch break and looking around what to have and stumbled upon Olio's. There was a lunch special of a hot beef roast roll and chips for $10. Thats what I got and I have to say I was soooo happy to get it. The baguette is sliced in the middle, buttered and then put under a grill. The beef is then individually sliced and placed into the bun and married with caramelized onions and gorgeous gravy. The first bite was so delicious, the roast beef had so much flavor and just the right amount of saltiness to it. The bun was crunchy and soft and the chips were well cooked and seasoned with salt and paprika.

Recommend this to all.
