It makes me sad having to write such a poor review of the One Radish Eatery, because I've had a few wonderful meals and memories here, but over the past 12 months this restaurant has only gotten worse and worse. With each bad experience, the length of time between my visits has gotten longer and longer. My significant other will no longer go to One Radish with me, but sometimes I can still get friends to join me, as I did this past weekend. This final visit was so bad that I feel I have to leave a review in hopes that the owners see it and care enough to fix the problems. I'll start with the positives. The menu is enticing and well structured. Also, the menu has a good mix of items and just the right number of options. The food tastes good. Finally, I love the layout of the space and the tables. All of those parts of the business are fine. Now I'll address the problems. The place just seems to be getting dirty and rundown. The service is terrible--the staff waiting the counter are rude and clearly do not care at all. The food seems to take forever, even for simple items. They use Square at the register, and the default tip options for counter service are something like 15, 18 and 20 percent, which is ridiculous for the level of service they provide. Their idea of service is essentially a grumpy staffperson silently dropping plates on a table and walking away. This weekend went beyond indifference, and the staff were just rude from the moment we walked in the door. I caught them glaring and rolling their eyes at the people ahead of us in line, and seemed annoyed by every table I saw them even minimally interact with during our visit. I get the sense that the owners and/or management just no longer care, and therefore nobody else cares. I hope the owners see these reviews, and either fix the problems or just close the business.
