One Star Country Club está muy cerca de Christ Lutheran Church. Sus generosos tacos de carne, su singular sopa y su atrayente guacamole están entre esos platos que no hay que dejar de probar en este bar. Basándonos en las opiniones de los críticos, aquí los camareros sirven una buena cerveza. A sus clientes no les gusta el té de One Star Country Club.

Solid spot as long as you do not have to interact with the bouncers. Sadly, the bouncers are more interested in creating tension & disrespecting patrons Service: 3

I had an extremely upsetting experience here last night. I stepped outside briefly to make a phone call and when I tried to reenter, I was told they stop allowing entry after 1:30 AM. I was unaware of this policy. At that point, I was outside alone while my one remaining friend was still inside by herself, as the rest of our group had already left. I calmly tried to explain this to the bouncer, but he was extremely rude and refused to listen. To show proof, my friend FaceTimed me from inside the bar. I walked toward the doorway to point her out, and as I stepped near the door, the bouncer shoved me forcefully. I fell hard onto my elbow and knee and I am now bruised up!!! This was completely uncalled for, especially pushing a woman who was just trying to make sure her friend was safe. To make matters worse, this morning I called 3 separate times to report the bouncer and the incident and they wouldn’t even answer the phone!!!! Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

So, I walk in this place on East Cross Street. I’m always looking for a good time, it looked new, and I went in. First thing I noticed was a sign saying “There is NO gambling at the One Star Country Club”. I thought it was a bit odd, but went in and sat down anyway. As soon as we sat down, we got what must be the house special, a round of Natural Light with some wings. But it all went downhill from there. The server took forever to come back to our table, but I finally managed to flag her down and voice my displeasure. Apparently, she couldn’t take constructive criticism and replied “you’ll get nothing and like it!” Put off, I said “thank you very little”. With that, she looked at my wife and sneered “This is your wife huh? Hey Baby, you must have been something before electricity.” I was dumbfounded and I could only lash out at her attire, since she was wearing a distinctive hat, and I said “What, when you buy a hat like this I bet you get a free bowl of soup, huh?” In reality, it looked good on her… Anyway, an argument ensued and I see this guy who looks like the GM himself. The flowing robes, the grace, bald… striking! So, I shout across the bar, “Hey Don, could you scare up another round for our table over here and tell the cook this is low grade dog food? I’ve had better food at the ballgame, you know?” Well, he hauls off and whacks me, a big hitter the GM, right on the base of my glacier-like skull. Then the GM says “Gunga galunga… gunga, gunga lagunga.” My guess is he was doing shots before I called him over. This was clearly the worst service ever. I was done, paid my tab and started to leave. As we left, our server grabbed my arm, and said “Hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know?” I quickly diffused the situation and said “there won’t be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.” She seemed content with my tip and said “So I got that going for me, which is nice.”This place deserves One Star! #conservestars
