Ordered just after 16:00 but got a phone call at 16:42 to say their delivery driver was going to be late so my delivery would be 17:30 - 17:45, it arrived at 18:00. I appreciated that they phoned to offer me cancellation or to accept that it would be later than expected. I have ordered from Open Rice many times over the past few years, unfortunately the last two orders the food has been pretty poor and on this occasion worse than ever! Everything was overcooked with a nasty old burnt oil taste, the tofu was hard and dry, even the free mini pancake rolls were dry and much darker than usual (overcooked). I was sent an incorrect dish: Chow mein with big chunks of meat in rather than the Mushroom Chow mein I'd ordered which being a non meat eater, has now been the deciding factor to never order from here again! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50 Food: 1 Service: 3 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: Ordered vegetarian option (Mushroom chow mein) but was sent chow mein with big slabs of meat in it and no mushrooms at all!

I had king prawn curry and rice and had to hunt for the prawns .I found more mushrooms than anything and the curry sauce was bland. Definitely not up to the usual standard so won't be ordering again. My partner had chicken curry but chicken was 0 in a big lump instead of being cut into bite sized chunks.
