This is not my first time here, but it certainly is my last visit! We have been here before after running errands & today was no different. My oldest daughter lost a tooth and after we spent her tooth fairy money, we went here for a special treat to further celebrate. The lady at the register was someone that I had never seen in here before - an older woman with a kind smile. My girls both got the brownie batter flavor today. I got the cheesecake flavor. After multiple complaints to me that theirs tasted bad, I tried it myself. They were right! It was bitter, sour, and tasted like coffee. The flavor right next to the brownie batter. It was inedible. They even refused to eat the gummy worms on top. I went to the register with a kind demeanor to let the lady know. She first directly told my kids that they got the yogurt from the wrong side. I said that I had poured it myself. She then tells me that I did it wrong. I disagreed - still being polite - stating that I got it from the brownie side. She rolls her eyes & tells me it was impossible that the flavors mixed. Her stance was rigid and she continued to tell us that WE did something wrong. At this point, I was furious. I specifically asked her if she was the business owner or did she know the business owner. She rolled her eyes again and tells me her husband owns it. Then, just stares at us. I tell her that now I want my money back. Period. She rolls her eyes yet again and stomped behind the door into the kitchen area. Here's why I was beyond angered and there was no return. She was clearly calling not only my kids but myself a liar. And, had zero intentions to remedy the situation. She does not know me from the hole in the wall and was treating me like scum. And, my kids like scum. She returned and continued her snarky tone and said that she had no idea how to refund me for my yogurt cups. What amount would she even give me back?!?! And, how did I pay?!?! She had just rung me up not 5 minutes before this... Um, you're the owner, honey. Hit the register button. I even told her that I only wanted a refund for my girls' since they clearly did not eat it & I actually liked mine even though I had not had time to finish it. More eye rolling. I told her that I was appalled at how she was treating my kids. Not just me - two little girls. Like criminal liars over the flavor of their yogurt. And, let me tell ya something, if that yogurt was edible, there would not be a gummy worm left in sight on that yogurt. Children mentality 101. I am embarrassed for these business owners. They should be ashamed of themselves. To treat a Mother and two little girls this poorly speaks volumes about them as human beings. I literally bend over backwards to promote and encourage small business owners in this area. And, I am always a repeat customer. The entire drive home, my kids kept asking me 'why that lady was so mean and kept rolling her eyes at us.' I told them that it was not their fault - she clearly is an unhappy human. Did I treat the business owner poorly myself?!?? Absolutely. After the multiple accusations of being a liar, my kids' being liars, rolling her eyes, glaring, telling me she could not refund me, basically throwing my money back at me, then her nasty retort as we left - I did not feel one iota of guilt for being snarky back at her. In fact, my girls complained for over an hour that they could not get that bitter taste from the yogurt out of their mouths. Perhaps it is time for this older couple to retire. Perhaps she is experiencing menopause. One thing for certain IS that I will go out of my way to share this story to as many people that I know as possible.
