Directions: The journey was very bumpy, the road surfaces were terrible and marked by deep potholes. Room: VERY small and narrow, noisy. You can hear the neighbors blowing their noses, children crying, etc. The bathroom is also really tiny and rather oppressive. More like a cabin on a cruise ship. The beds were so comfortable. Instead of a double bed, two single beds were pushed together, which constantly pushed each other apart. Service/Staff: In general, the service staff sometimes seem a bit clumsy and not very competent. This is particularly noticeable in the dining area. Dishes are cleared away that haven't even been eaten yet (they're then thrown away - a waste!), the waiter only asked at the very end if we would like to drink something else, by which time we had already finished everything.. As a guest you have to avoid the staff, they don't wait, you're more afraid they'll knock you over. The language barrier is clearly noticeable throughout the house. Cleaning staff only spoke Czech. Few employees speak broken German and most of the communication has to be done in English, although even that is rather semi-intelligible. Everyone is so nice and friendly. But there is nothing special in this section either. Fitness: No disinfectant! No towels! Spinning bike difficult to adjust, wobbles, Cardio machines take a long time to wake up and start. Otherwise, everything you need for a reasonably satisfactory workout on a short vacation is there. Wellness/Spa: Very loud in the normal area due to the children, hardly any free loungers, uncomfortable, full, echoing, no feel-good effect, more like a swimming pool. Toilets smell terribly of urine. In the adult area: almost nothing going on, very nice, quiet. But no additional towels, only one entry, uncomfortable and short loungers in the relaxation room do not invite you to stay for long. The outside terrace, like the facade, is very old and resembles a shack. Massage: Unfortunately it's right next to the children's area and therefore not relaxing as you can constantly hear children screaming and trampling. The massages were good in themselves, although little attention was paid to individual personal needs and previous illnesses. There is no communication here either, only once after 5 minutes is the question “Are you okay?” Eat: Generally, most things are lukewarm to cold. For three days in a row, eggs and bacon for breakfast were cold, ice cold! Otherwise...It tastes okay, but there is no wow factor here either. Rather neutral to well... The buffet room has a cafeteria feel: lots of people, all greedy. One has the impression that there are 50 monkeys cavorting here, fighting almost starvation. Lots of (noisy) children here too. The desserts in particular are similar to German discounter products. I've never been as disappointed by a buffet as I was here. Conclusion: rather disappointing. We are really not demanding and came to the Orea without any great expectations. However, there was really nothing that stayed positive in our minds, nothing that left a positive impression. On the contrary. We can recommend the hotel less. Especially not if you are looking for peace, relaxation and wellness here. Other hotels are definitely better suited! There was no feel-good effect for us in any way. The photos on the homepage are rather misleading and do not correspond to the original image. The view straight from the restaurant is very nice. There was nothing outstandingly good, but nothing catastrophically bad either. We cannot understand all of the positive reviews at this point. The stay at OREA Resort Horal was amazing as always. We love to come back, especially thanks to the extremely nice and helpful staff, which is a standard at Horal that is not seen anywhere else! Another plus is, of course, the excellent cuisine that cannot be resisted, including a nice little thing like the possibility to take a snack on a trip in the morning. And a great starting point for hiking. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
