We recently visited Osteria del Binari in Milan and, unfortunately, our experience fell a little short of expectations. The place is nice and the staff were friendly and welcoming, which is always a plus. However, we were disappointed with the food. We expected more from typical dishes such as Milanese risotto with ossobuco, which turned out to be rather ordinary and not as exceptional as we had hoped. Even the charcuterie board, a traditional classic, was average and not as impressive as one would expect from an Italian restaurant of this type. Furthermore, the prices were definitely above average for the quality offered. Another negative note concerns the service: they brought us a large variety of bread from different bakeries, but we had to wait at least 20 minutes before receiving the starter. This did not help the restaurant at all, on the contrary, it led us to consume more bread than expected. In fact, if we hadn't eaten all that bread while waiting, it's very likely we would have opted for dessert too. In summary, the experience was positive, but not superlative. Although the place was nice and the staff were friendly, we don't think we will return in the future, as there are other options in town that offer more memorable typical dishes.
