For my entree I had the Orange Chicken. When it came to the table I was shocked to see the look of it. It was so brown and the sauce was a sticky mess, and very little. The chicken was so dry that some of the pieces were hard to swallow. When the waitress came to the table to ask if i liked it I told her what I thought and she got very defensive with no apologies or ask if I would like something else in it's place . She had to tell me that the chicken is deep fried. Well I do know that since I do a lot of Chinese cooking at home. The reason it was so dry is that the pieces were all different sizes thus the small pieces cooked very fast as opposed to the only 2 pieces that were larger that took longer to cook. Some of the pieces were smaller than my pinky. When I took a bite it crunched from over frying. I could not even taste a bit of orange in it. When cutting meats for cooking should always be the same size or close to it. After telling her about how bad it was, she never returned until it was time to pay the bill.
We will never go back to this place and will stick to our favorite place "Wang's" In Cath. City. It took us 4 years out of almost 7 of living here to finally find an excellent place to eat at Wang's.
Their Hot & Sour is so good, and served with the crispy noodles and have always brought an extra dish of them when we devoured them with the dipping sauce. By the way The lunch price at Wang's is $4.00 cheaper for the lunch menu, and it comes with an Egg Roll and rice, and will bring extra rice if need, no extra charge.
I don't know how long the Palace has been there, looks new, and doubt that they will be there for a long time. Stay away from this place! Don't waste your money! Even giving them a 1 star is 1 star too many.
