I was served by Ally and her team, and I want to sincerely thank Ally for her exceptional hospitality and warmth. It’s obvious that she has a passion for what she does. I loved the atmosphere and her discreet service. She was gentle yet graceful. Huge thanks to Chef Nueng for the amazing food he prepared every day. Thank you for coming out to greet me. I also want to thank Megan for her kind service, and wide smile. She made me feel right at home. Thank you to Beauty (manager) as well for your warmth and sincerity. Pak Tai was a fantastic introduction to Southern Thai cuisine. Every dish was full of bold, authentic flavours and beautifully presented. We started with an amuse-bouche served on a betel leaf, which was fresh, vibrant, and a great way to kick off the meal. The fish cakes were perfectly cooked, but the real star was the Massaman curry—rich, fragrant, and one of the best I’ve had. The crab curry was equally delicious, with sweet, fresh crab and a wonderfully balanced curry that paired perfectly with rice. Atmosphere: 5/5. Located within The Ritz-Carlton Koh Samui, Pak Tai has a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere that makes for a wonderful dinner setting. The restaurant beautifully reflects Southern Thai culture while maintaining the understated luxury you’d expect from the resort. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a leisurely meal. Service: 5/5. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout the evening. The team was happy to explain the dishes and made us feel well looked after without ever being intrusive. Their hospitality elevated an already fantastic meal and made the entire experience feel memorable. If you’re staying at The Ritz-Carlton Koh Samui and want to experience authentic Southern Thai flavours, Pak Tai is absolutely worth a visit.
