The dinner at Odyssia at the end of the holiday before taking the flight from Thessaloniki was by far the best of the 8 days of the holiday. Simple place, on the road, a little out of the way as these places always are, but finally a real tzatziki, good fried food and excellent grilled octopus. I have been going to Greece for many years and I have always avoided too touristy places in search of taverns or restaurants with dishes, although simple, well cooked and tasty. Unfortunately during the 8 days in Halkidiki we found none of this and we adapted to dishes without particular attractions and cooked "without heart".
