We really enjoyed the food here! The small portion sizes/reasonable prices of snacks and fritters meant we could try a bunch of flavors. Our favorite was the talas ebi, asinan betawi, and murtabak. We are not Indonesian but have lived in SEA and felt the flavors were very authentic, contrary to some other reviewers. To that point, I think some of the owner story in the review replies could be integrated into the dining experience to set expectations. For example, a menu blurb about what a Pasar is and the owners personal experience growing up. Also the wait staff (and menu) should explain how to order — we didn’t understand we should order many small things until we asked for recommendations. We ordered 1 Cah, 1 DLL, 1 Cemilan, 1 Gorengan, and 2 Kue + drinks - we were plenty full and shocked by the low final price! Regardless we had a great time and would come back next time we’re in town! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $20–30
