On Saturday morning, I visited Pattison’s Patisserie and purchased a plain mince pie. It looked very appealing behind the counter in the pie warmer, with a nicely golden pastry, and it was served in a paper burger box. After paying $8, I left the store and took the pie home to eat. However, after taking the first bite, a sloppy gravy-like liquid squirted out everywhere. I had to put the pie back into the box and eat it with a fork. Unfortunately, the filling consisted mostly of runny gravy with very little mince, and the overall texture was more like liquid slop than a proper meat pie. I was very disappointed with the quality and won’t be purchasing another one.
