Hi Linda, Thanks for sharing this. We’re really sorry your experience didn’t feel welcoming — that’s truly not the vibe we’re going for, and it’s not reflective of the standards we hold ourselves to. At our core, our goal is to maintain the quality, hospitality, and community standards Greater Goods is known for, while thoughtfully evolving the space with our new and expanded food and drink menu. We want the additions to enhance the experience — not take away from the warmth, approachability, and coffee excellence that have always defined us. We connected with our team, and while they remembered the interaction as positive, what matters most is how you felt. If it came across as dismissive or unfriendly, we sincerely apologize. Every guest should feel comfortable asking questions, exploring the menu, and settling in without hesitation. We also truly appreciate you pointing out the restroom condition. That’s not up to our standards and we’re actively reinforcing cleaning checks to ensure it stays consistently clean and stocked. We recognize that as the space and menu evolve, it can feel different from what you remember. Coffee remains at the heart of what we do, and our expanded offerings are meant to complement that foundation while raising the overall experience — not lowering the bar. Your feedback truly means a lot to us — it helps us grow and do better. We’d really love the chance to make this right. Whenever you’re open to it, please feel free to reach out directly at jen@thepershing.com.
