Thank goodness we were only visiting Melbourne and not locals because having this place nearby would be incredibly dangerous. Delicious seafood, interesting menu, exceptional hand-cut fries. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch

Pleasantly found ourselves in Pescato today.on a family outing. We were lured in by the beautiful images of octopus and tuna tartare burgers and ended up eating everything but those two dishes! I've decided it's my mission to come back and try them because we were blown away by what we had: tuna tartare with salad and bruschetta, grilled fish of the day, fritto misto (calamari, prawns and zucchini in a delectably light tempura batter), and hand cut chips (the crunchiest I've ever had! And I've had a lot!!). The thing that I was most taken aback by were the kids fish nuggets - gorgeous chunks of fresh meaty white fish with the thinnest of crumbs. I was very happy to feed my toddler that - and I won't lie the rest of the family had a taste too! Pescato, you won us over and we can't wait to visit again soon and tell all our friends! P.S. I didn't expect I would be wanting to write a review so I didn't take any pictures, but I definitely will next time! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Recommended dishes: Fritto Misto, Grilled Fish of the Day Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly with access to high chair and kids menu.
