I think that this place receives good reviews because people are rooting for the two young girls running it and don't want to give them bad reviews. However, I have to say that the taste was disappointing. The cookies tasted starchy instead of flour and I did not feel any butter taste whatsoever. They probably use vegetable oil or margarine. The flavor itself was also weak. On top of that, visual appearance is also lacking. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1

I've got to hand it to this place - in 8 months living in Japan this is hands down the best matcha latte I have ever had. Not too sweet, not too bitter, and the matcha flavor was strong and enjoyable. The staff were very sweet and the music was well selected! The ambiance and products were perfect all around! 5/5! Such a nice place, I only stayed one night in Hikone but I went twice there are many interesting cookies, I want to try them all! I tried the Earl Grey Orange and Houjicha cookies, and both were so good. The espresso was also good even better than the cookies is the the friendly and kind owner and staff! The owner is happy to chat and share recommendations. It's very close to Hikone station, so please stop by if you are going towards the castle or returning to the station.
