I wasn't sure about this bar, the entrance could do with a vacuum, and it smelt weird. Anyway I'm happy I went upstairs as it was friendly, with great beer on draft. Price per person: $10–20

Response from the owner hace 3 meses

Hey Mark, thanks for the 4* and also for the heads up on our stairwell. Unfortunately, doing business on a busy street in a very commercial area and in a heritage former old winery does have its downfalls with one being occasional dirty carpets and odors :( but hopefully you enjoyed a cool bevy on our sunny patio and perhaps a bite from Bangers Burgers!! Hope to see you again! Cheers!

I like this place. Stopped in for a quick beer at the bar. Friendly bartender, older, blue collar working class atmosphere, but friendly and fun! Great music with variety. This is a friendly neighborhood pub. The regular crowd all seem to be on a first name basis with each other and are willing to engage in respectful, pleasant conversation. One thing for sure, you never know who you might meet. Next time I go to Phoenix Bar and Grill I plan on having some of their food - I have been told they make really good fish and chips. They have a chalkboard menu and I noticed yam fries are on it, as is a grilled chicken sandwich!I like their pool tables with blue felts, large block Jenga, dart boards, dancefloor, pre-covid karaoke and seasonal outdoor patio. Music that plays inside also plays outside in the parking lot.
