Now has new name, new menu and significantly increased prices.  Had an $11 cup of lobster bisque which was lower mediocre -- basically tomato soup with three or four small bites of lobster.  No longer has some old favorites on the menu.  Sad, because we loved it before.  Will not return -- too many outstanding choices nearby.

Disappointing. Went there for a birthday celebration on the foot of good reviews from friends. First issue was when we tried to order the souffle (their signature desert) we were told it wasn't available. Then ordered the Steak frites to be cooked medium which arrived very overdone. When this was pointed out to the waitress she literally walked away without a word. All in all a very unsatisfactory experience.

I went with a friend last Friday. We got a endive salad with smoked duck to share, OK that was alright. Endive in a mayo mustard dressing with dry smoked duck slices and one cherry tomato cut in half. It seemed OK but  I have nothing to compare it to since I';ve not had that kind of salad before. My friend  got lobster bisque....it wasn't anything like ANY bisque I've ever seen. It had a thin but grainy consistency and was a dark caramel brown color. I tasted a spoonful and a piece of lobster. The lobster was not fresh but frozen. The bisque was both like they didn't cook the roux enough and liked they burned it! It had a granular consistency rather than smooth and silky and it tasted strange like it was burnt. I got the mussels marinieres appetizer which I get often when I go out. These mussels were not cleaned properly, many of them still had their beards attached. and they were tiny little mussels (old and/or cheap in other words) not soft meaty one. The broth didn't taste like anything.  There was parsley and some chopped up stuff that looked like it should be garlic but it didn't taste like garlic..,.and I don't think they used any wine in it at all water maybe. Then we got a cheese plate to share.. It was three cheeses Port Salut, Goat Cheese and a brie or Camembert with dried apricots, prunes and cranberries, and some cheap crackers including what looked like Ritz crackers. The dried fruit was so old it was hard as a rock, I tried to bite the prune but couldn't! The port salut and goat cheese were fine but the other thing was hard, not soft...very odd and not right. we didn't eat  it after the first bite. How could many things could be wrong with one dinner? I think they skimp on the quality of the food used in the kitchen. And I don't know who they have making the food but they need some instruction. But my friend loved that place, and we both did like the atmosphere. It was like a small neighborhood true French bistro, service was French too..unhurried, low key, But service was pleasant and good, just not hurried. Except for the dumb pierrot masks all over the place the décor was nice and quaint....dark walks and chairs, white table clothes. We were right by the front door at the front window. They had a heavy velvet curtain over the door to keep the drafts out. While we were eating,  the door opens and we hear a boom! Like someone fell...then nothing, about  30 seconds later this trashed drunk homeless guy sticks his head through the curtain says Hi, comes in and says "I just want to get a light" and holds his cigarette up. The head waitress comes over, holds a candle up, so the homeless guy can light his cigarette. Ha! I actually thought that was kind of cool.  Then she escorted him out. It was funny, But somehow despite all that I would go back there to drink wine and enjoy the atmosphere with a friend, maybe get a salad.  but I don't think I'd want to eat anything else there. And what's crazy is that the prices on par with say, Gaslight, if not slightly more expensive. For those prices the food should have been really good.
