We tried this place for dinner last night after my wife had a couple of decent lunch experiences there (good burgers). It’s half bar, half restaurant. The dining side was only about a quarter full, but there was just one waitress on duty—and she was hustling. Service was slow, appetizers came out right before the pizza, and one pizza never showed up. It was obvious our waitress was frustrated. My wife (former waitress with a soft spot) asked a few questions and learned the rest of the wait staff didn’t show up, none of the cooks spoke English, and she was struggling just to get orders communicated and out correctly. What made it worse: no management stepping in. The owner was sitting at the bar having beers while a young waitress was left to sink or swim. That alone is a bad look. We saw a family come in, place a drink order with another girl who came over from the bar at random, then leave after sitting there for 20 minutes. Unfortunately, the food didn’t redeem the experience. The pizza was simply not good—chewy crust, very light toppings (if you call it a meat lovers, show the love). I’ve had better pizza from the grocery store. The appetizers were clearly frozen and over-fried—skip the toasted ravioli. Between the poor food and how the staff was treated, this is a hard pass for us, even for future lunches. One last note: if you’re going to lean into a rugby theme, don’t put golf on the TVs when the Winter Olympics and Six Nations rugby are on. DVR a match and show something that fits the vibe.
