We went for dinner on the 28th June, a group of 5 of us. We had Yasmine for our server; she was fantastic. Unfortunately we are a very chatty group so tend to forget to look at the menu to decide straight away but she didn’t rush us at all, she was so polite about it and came back when we asked her over and were ready to order. She even took drink orders for two who were late and as soon as they sat down she brought them straight over, so the ice wouldn’t melt whilst we were waiting. She gave us recommendations too, which were great. She was just great and made us all feel welcome straight away and all throughout the meal! We do go to pizza express a lot just on various places and have never had a bad experience, the food was great as always! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I want to express deep gratitude to the whole team who was working and stayed open for our large group of parents and hungry kids who had had a very long day of acrobatic, gymnastics training, having travelled all the way from Manchester very early in the morning and trained well into the evening. We sincerely appreciate how the team went out of their way to accommodate us, even when we were late and kept them well after closing, and even more so when the team helped us when we were having trouble the app. Whilst the food was great, I really want to ensure the team know that their kindness and patience was recognised and they are a credit to the Colchester team. We absolutely love coming to Pizza Express in Colchester, and a huge reason for that is Lisa! Every time we visit, she’s usually the one serving us, and she is just wonderful. She’s so lovely, friendly and genuinely welcoming. Lisa always takes the time to ask how we all are and has such a natural, chatty warmth about her that makes you feel valued rather than just another table. She’s incredibly helpful with anything we need, nothing is ever too much trouble, and she always seems genuinely happy to see us when we walk in. It really does make such a difference having someone like her there — she creates such a positive atmosphere and makes the whole experience feel personal and special. Staff like Lisa are the reason we keep coming back. She’s an absolute credit to the restaurant! Thank you for always looking after us so well!
