Ordered a pizza, wings, and extra sauce. I placed the order online for delivery through Pizza Hut and left a tip online (in addition to a delivery fee). Pizza Hut used a 3rd party delivery service (DoorDash) and didn’t give the driver the tip I left for the delivery person. The driver instead was confused and frustrated that he didn’t receive a tip for his service. This makes me look bad even though I already provided a tip in addition to the delivery fee. If you can’t deliver pizzas as corporate pizza company, you should close shop. Honestly the last time I will be giving this shady business my money. Pizza was good, nothing against the food itself, but very sketchy operations. They need to provide the tip left for the driver instead of pocketing the money themselves. Hi Kevin, We have systems in place for each Door Dash Driver to receive their tips from each tip. Pizza Hut does not keep any of the tips that customers provide to the drivers. We will review this concern with our door dash partners so we can effectively communicate to our drivers where they can find their tips for each drive. Thank you for your concern as we look to see how we can handle this better for our all our drivers.
